Let's Get Started
Who We Are
Rooted in Portland
Founded in 2012, Horizon Landscaping grew from a single truck serving Northeast Portland neighborhoods to a full-service team covering the metro area. Our founder, a Portland native, saw the need for landscapes that could thrive in our unique climate.
We approach each project with an understanding of Pacific Northwest ecology. Our designs incorporate native plants, proper drainage solutions, and materials that withstand seasonal shifts without sacrificing beauty.
From volunteering with Friends of Trees to sponsoring neighborhood cleanups, we're committed to keeping Portland green in every sense. Ask us about our rain garden initiative for local schools.

What Our Clients Say
After years of basement flooding in our Alberta Arts bungalow, Horizon designed a rain garden that's completely solved our drainage issues. They incorporated vintage-looking pavers that match our 1912 home's aesthetic while handling all the runoff from our roof. The Oregon grape and ferns they planted look like they've always been there.
Living on a steep lot in West Linn, we needed serious slope stabilization. Horizon built a terraced garden with reinforced retaining walls that actually increased our usable yard space. When we had that minor quake last winter, not a single stone shifted - exactly what we paid for.
The Portland Landmarks Commission approved our 1924 bungalow's landscape renovation on first review thanks to Horizon's meticulous research. They found original plant lists from the period and even sourced antique edging from a salvage yard. The new old-fashioned rose garden looks straight out of a 1920s catalog.
Our north-facing driveway in Forest Heights was an ice rink every winter due to moss growth. Horizon installed heated flagstones that look completely natural but keep the surface dry and safe. The system turns on automatically when temperatures drop below freezing.
Our Pearl District rooftop garden was struggling with summer heat until Horizon redesigned it with Mediterranean plants. The lavender and euphorbia thrive with minimal watering, and the automated drip system they installed saves us hours of maintenance. The bees love it too!
Horizon transformed our overgrown Hillsboro yard into a low-maintenance tech hub outdoor space. The native plantings attract birds we'd never seen before, and the gravel patio with built-in charging stations is perfect for working outside. They even incorporated our kids' old play structure into the design.
